  • Consent is reversible!

    • Consent can be revoked at any time

    • Use Check-In systems (e.g stop light system, safe words)

​Freely given

  • Absence of coercion or influence ​

Not the absence of a no

  • Don't assume yes is the default​​

Why is Consent Important

  • Respects autonomy: Affirms the right of us and our partner(s) to make our own choices.

  • Supports well-being: Reinforces the importance of making decisions that feel safe and right for each person.

  • Establishes clear boundaries: Promotes mutual understanding and helps prevent harm or discomfort.
